This Briefing will provide an overview of research and recent policies introduced relating to energy efficiency and sustainability. This will incorporate not only the process of generating energy, but also the delivery and control of energy.

It will highlight implications of how the drive for energy efficiency will affect skills provision. This Briefing will show through examples, how further education providers can identify and successfully exploit opportunities for skills training and development.

You will hear breaking news on energy efficiency policy from the Department of Energy and Climate Change and you’ll get the latest information on how industry are integrating energy efficiency technologies into building design and structure. A case study from FE will showcase how, through working together with industry, it is possible to develop the skilled workforce for an energy efficient future.
