Building Management Systems

We are pleased to announce this NEW Masterclass on Building Management Systems.

Building Management Systems (BMS) encompasses an enormous variety of technologies, used in commercial, industrial, institutional and domestic buildings.  BMS includes energy management systems and building controls. The function of Building Management Systems is central to 'Intelligent Buildings' concepts; its purpose is to control, monitor and optimise building services, such as lighting, heating, security, CCTV and alarm systems, access control, audio-visual and entertainment systems, ventilation, filtration and climate control, etc.  Intelligent Building developments are impacting on our living and working environments.  Potentially BMSs also have immense impact on facilities planning and facilities management.

The Masterclass will be run by Building Automation Solutions Limited (BAS) which was formed by a management buy out from Siemens in 2006.   BAS Ltd is a major force to in the Energy Solutions, Support & Building Management System HVAC Market and has become one of the UK's leading Energy Management Companies.

By the end of the Masterclass you will have had the opportunity to look around a building in which a Siemens APOGEE BMS operates and to understand the concepts behind the installation choices.  You will have hands on experience of setting up a small Building and Environment Management System and of integrating 3rd party equipment with it.  You will also have an opportunity to look at the future developments which are coming on line in BMS

You may register your interest with mc@neweng.org.uk or complete and return a booking form.
